Cleaning RENOLIT EXOFOL Films

When something accidentally spills during installation

Wherever there is construction, there is dirt, and a splash of plaster or paint can easily land on that brand new window frame. But be careful because abrasive or corrosive products such as scouring agents, white spirit or sharp-edged tools can cause permanent damage.

Hot tap water and ordinary washing-up liquid are sufficient to remove tile adhesive, paint or plaster residues. In these cases, use plenty of water and be patient. Soak the dirt thoroughly then rinse away the loosened particles, otherwise it acts like sandpaper. For particularly stubborn cases such as rubber abrasion, there is RENOLIT professional cleaner.

For the annual spring clean

With RENOLIT Films, having clean window frames is a foregone conclusion, because dirt particles have difficulty sticking to their surface.

Regular household cleaning is easy. Hot tap water, a soft brush or sponge and a squirt of washing-up liquid are all that is needed to remove summer dust or winter dirt. Under no circumstances should you scrub or rub, otherwise the top layer of the film will be damaged and the protective effect will be impaired.
